TESTIMONIES

My name is Dwayne Pinder, Jr. and as a child, I’ve had three major influences, my family, cars and most importantly my love for Christ. Now after four challenging years of high school, I am heading to Florida A&M University in the Fall of 2016 as a Distinguished Scholarship Award Recipient studying Mechanical Engineering. I made it this far because of my faith and support from my family and friends. Mr. Roger Williams is one of the many people I’ve been fortunate enough to have in my life. He was able to support me in my journey and influence me in a positive manner. His rule of thumb was to “Stay focused and continue to listen to your parents”. His simple request has now become a major part of my lifestyle. I can honestly say that it    doesn’t hurt to be different, especially to find yourself in Christ and in life. Thank you Mr. Roger Williams and Save The Youth Outreach for believing in me.

My name is Daviya Bernard, and I am a student athlete that excels on and off the court. I am currently a junior attending Everglades High School. My GPA is a 4.3 and I'm also a part of a rigorous program called "Sports medicine”. I will be the first class to graduate with certifications and recommendations in sports medicine already paving the way for college. I have been a varsity volleyball player since freshmen year and became the youngest captain on the girls volleyball team my sophomore year. I take all Honors and AP classes along with joining multiple clubs on my High School campus. My future goal is to be a trauma surgeon so, I can help others the best that I know how.

My name is Raven Lyons and I really enjoy my time helping out at Save the Youth Outreach Inc. I am able to gain social, administrative, and professional skills that I had not previously had the opportunity to develop as thoroughly. I have learned a lot, and I am grateful for the time I spend as a mentor. It is amazing to be apart of helping our future and leading them in the right direction.

This program does wonderful things for the youth, and the services offered are incredibly helpful to any college student.
